The Southwest School of Art & Craft presents Texas Draws,  the inaugural exhibition of a new series highlighting contemporary drawing in Texas. Outstanding artists known for their drawing and who represent various approaches were invited to participate, resulting in a diverse exhibition that showcases distinctive ideas and practice.

The works address a host of themes and issues and employ a wide range of materials, from dirt to wood. Some drawings are presented conventionally, while some are installed, suspended or even performed. The works are intimate, aggressive, architectural, layered, political, lyrical, brooding, or meticulous —as varied and expansive as the state of Texas.
