For the exhibition kissed again, Wesley Harvey continues his investigation of collage on ceramics by appropriating homoerotic imagery from the illustrations of Tom of Finland and combining with vintage decals, gold leaf, flocking, and much more. Glossy and white Chinese porcelain goes from innocent and beautiful to seductive and dirty. The surfaces become invaded by daddies and muscle men amidst the tawdry worlds of kitsch and cute objects. Sexuality and gender never looked so good.
