Saturday, Mar 19, 7:00 pm - Sunday, Mar 20, 2:00 am

Sala Diaz board members Mike Casey, Ethel Shipton and Trent Harkrader; Director Hills Snyder; our Sponsors Jerry Gore and the San Antonio Area Foundation; and Hosts Cynthia Toles, Joel and Lori Dunlap, Libby Tilley, Pat and Bud Smothers, Chris Hill, Rick Liberto, Gwynn Griffith, Sonya Dawson and David Shelton invite you to celebrate with us The Long Table of Love.

This year Sala is celebrating its sixteenth year of innovative programming and this spring we’ll embark on an exciting new adventure with Casa Chuck, an invitational residency for arts writers and curators to come for extended stays exploring San Antonio and its artists.

To these ends we hope you’ll join us Saturday, March 19th at 7 pm. Dress for backyard comfort --- we’ll be serving dinner and drinks outside at Sala (rain location, Blue Star Contemporary Art Center) with music by Bett Butler & Joël Dilley, Buttercup and DJ John Mata. Rick Frederick will entertain us as The Voice of The Compound, as we abide in revelry and companionship.

Dinner will be offered by Tim The Girl, Niles Chumney, La Frite, The Monterey and Liberty Bar.

Throughout the evening you’ll have the opportunity to bid on bicycle helmets altered by artists Cathy Cunningham-Little, Karen Mahaffy, David Frank, Daniel Frank, Ken Little, Mignon Harkrader, Michael Stoltz, Utah Snyder, Jeff Gibson, Chad Dawkins, Kelly O’Connor, Franco Mondini-Ruiz, Lloyd Walsh, Chris Sauter, Clare Little, Michele Monseau, Kristy Perez, Justin Parr, Aaron Hans Forland, Gary Sweeney, Stevan Zivadinovic, John Mata, Andy Benavides, Kate Terrell, Lawrence Jennings, Ethel Shipton, Bonham and Silva, Nate Cassie, Jeff Wheeler, Ed Saavedra, Michael Velliquette, Thomas Cummins, Rae Culbert, Margaret Craig, Randy Wallace, Kimberly Aubuchon, Penkava/Lukowski and Leticia Rocha.

Another exciting auction item will be a replica of Chuck’s long table built by artist Nate Cassie.

Additionally, Erick Jackson, artist in our current exhibition, has graciously requested that 25% of any work sold goes to Sala Diaz.

Seats at the table are sold out.

$25 BYOB tickets will be available at the door starting at 9:30 PM.
