Art in the Garden 2012 opens March 23 at the San Antonio Botanical Garden.  Curated by British sculptor Phillip King, the 12-month exhibit will feature a dozen sculptures by members of the Texas Sculpture Group and the Mid-South Alliance.  An opening reception on March 23, 5:30 -7:30 pm, will feature the music of John Magaldi and the Primetime Jazz Orchestra, with Richie Cole.  As part of KRTU 91.7 FM’s Tenth Anniversary in Jazz, members of participating non-profit organizations will enjoy free admission to the evening reception (general public $5).  An annual collaboration with Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, the sculpture exhibit celebrates Contemporary Art Month.  Visitors to the 38-acre Garden can enjoy the exhibition for the next year.  Daily admission rates to the Garden are $8/adults, $6/seniors and military, and $5/children.  For more information, visit www.sabot.org.

Sponsors for the exhibit include the Russell Hill Rogers Fund for the Arts and the Office of Cultural Affairs for the City of San Antonio.
