Art in the Garden 2012 opens March 23 at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Curated by British sculptor Phillip King, the 12-month exhibit will feature a dozen sculptures by members of the Texas Sculpture Group and the Mid-South Alliance. An opening reception on March 23, 5:30 -7:30 pm, will feature the music of John Magaldi and the Primetime Jazz Orchestra, with Richie Cole. As part of KRTU 91.7 FM’s Tenth Anniversary in Jazz, members of participating non-profit organizations will enjoy free admission to the evening reception (general public $5). An annual collaboration with Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, the sculpture exhibit celebrates Contemporary Art Month. Visitors to the 38-acre Garden can enjoy the exhibition for the next year.
