Word Workers
In celebration of National Poetry Month (April), Bihl Haus Arts presents Word Workers, a collaborative exhibition of image and text. Jim Lavilla-Havellin and Melanie Rush Davis have selected and photographed local and regional poets. On exhibit will be pin-hole photographs by Melanie Rush-Davis of 20 area poets: Carmen Tafolla, Juan Perez, Trey Moore, Marian Haddad, Jim LaVilla-Havelin, Barbara Ross, Naomi Shihab Nye, Roberto Bonacci, Sandra Cisneros, Karen Kelley, Vincent Toro, Giselle Agosta, Olivia Doge, Ignacio Megaloni, Nan Cuba, Palmer Hall, Rosemary Catacalos, Barbara Stanush, Pete McKinnon, and Josie Mixon. Individual poets will respond to their image on the wall in their own hand and in their own words. The opening reception will take place on March 19th from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Word Workers continues at Bihl Haus Arts through April 17th. Gallery hours are from 1 to 4 pm Fridays and Saturdays.
