"The Ides of Texas" Short Play Showcase
“THE IDES OF TEXAS” SHORT PLAY SHOWCASE Original short plays by Texas writers are presented at the Overtime Theater, home of new, original theater in San Antonio. “The Ides of March” marks a day when abrupt change had great repercussions -- a prevalent theme in these short plays. The plays include: "Nadine" (Playwright Sharon Argo, Director Pam Ramirez); "The Negotiators" (Playwright Scott McDowell, Director Lupe Flores); "Dan The Man" (Playwright Marshall Naylor, Co-Directors: Amanda Bianchi and Eddie Wise); "The Book of Judith" (Playwright James Peden, Director Caralyn Snyder); "Hamster Salesman" (Playwright Teresa Ronquillo, Director Pam Ramirez); "Small Talk" (Playwright Ben Tremillo, Director James Hartz); "Amy's Last Shift" (Playwright James Venhaus, Director Liz Vermeulen); "Jumping the Bridge" (Playwright C. Alan Wigginton, Director Chris Champlin); "What Would You Do For A Million Dollars?" (Playwright Antoinette Winstead, Director James Hartz); and, "Variations…" (Playwright & Director Edward Wise). Showtimes are 8 pm Fridays-Saturdays, with one 3 pm Sunday matinee (March 21). Ticket prices are $12 general admission, and $9 for teachers, students, seniors 65+, and SATCO members.
