Last year, CAM's Death Parade was loud and bright, and put the July Tradition to sleep to the sound of beating drums, cymbals, horns, and bells. But it didn't die forever; help the Rebirth Parade make it look mournful in comparison!

Here's a video of the Death Parade (by The Prime Eights), so you can get an idea of what you have to outdo: http://vimeo.com/5905024

This year, celebrate with us the rebirth of CAM in its new incarnation: now we MARCH!

We'll cross the bridge from past to future with an Art Parade up the newly-completed Mission Reach section of the San Antonio River, to the Blue Star Arts Complex.

All are invited!  Bring your percussion and other marching instruments, and wear a costume!  The theme of the parade is the phoenix-like rebirth of Contemporary Art Month, which you are free to interpret for yourself.  So get your craziest, weirdest, happiest costumes ready! Grab buckets, trumpets, harmonicas, kazoos and other noisemakers! Get in a celebratory mood, and meet up at:

4 PM, FEBRUARY 28, AT ROOSEVELT PARK

where Mission Rd, Roosevelt Ave, and Lone Star Blvd come together

We'll march down along the river to arrive at La Tuna bar for libations. Congratulations, it's a CAM!

For those who want to get together for 3pm bucket-drum making and rhythm practice session on Saturday February 27: email pbl@potterbelmar.org
