Janice Barnhart "Old Woman Who Paints" is a 73 year old classically trained contemporary figurative artist. She is currently showing at The Bent Easel and offers home/studio tours. She has the uncanny ability to work with virtually any media. Figurative work is her passion, but she also paints abstracts, landscapes, wild life scenes, creates sculptures and makes one of a kind jewelry. Janice's work is never a safe haven, but is always a point of departure, challenging our assumptions with a deceptively simple arsenal of color, line, no line, texture and veil.
She currently resides in San Antonio.
